Position OverviewFulfillment Center Manager (Sebring, FL)
Purpose:
Build a winning team with a Customers FIRST mindset to safely execute all fulfillment center operations and inventory management duties.
- Create a positive, challenging, and exciting environment conducive to high performance, teamwork, and long‑term retention of “A” players.
- Recruit, train, coach and retain top talent within the fulfillment center so that your team delivers excellence for all stakeholders while consistently exporting talent to the area/regions.
- Determine individual strengths and opportunities, and actively coach and mentor your team to achieve high performance and facilitate long‑term career development at Site One.
- Ensure strong teamwork within the fulfillment center, and with branches outside sellers.
- Ensure that the fulfillment center layout and organization, staffing, expertise, inventory, equipment, systems, processes and policies all support customer value excellence.
- Create an incident‑free environment by emphasizing safety daily, leading by example, involving all associates, promoting a strong safety culture, achieving excellent housekeeping and workplace organization, and executing clear safety policies.
- Execute key strategic initiatives to drive high performance.
- Lead, manage and participate in all operations/transactions as required at the fulfillment center to ensure that it is meeting or exceeding customer and performance expectations.
- Set effective goals and monitor key performance metrics to assess daily, weekly, and monthly progress and to track improvement initiatives.
- Be an active and effective coach to associates to enable them to achieve best practices.
- Understand the Area strategy and develop a complementary strategy to achieve excellent performance and growth and customer value.
- Use performance metrics to track progress and continuously adjust strategies to maximize opportunities that develop and/or to adjust to changing market conditions.
- Work with Senior Manager of Agronomic Fulfillment, Area Leaders, and the Regional Agronomic Manager to achieve our financial goals and objectives while identifying opportunities to help us grow.
- Adhere to the Fulfillment Stocking Assortment and ensure that all Fulfillment Center items are in stock at their appropriate times, while working to avoid excess inventory.
- Ensure orders are picked accurately and loaded according to Company, State, and Federal Shipping Standards.
- Ensure that all deliveries are performed in a professional manner and in line with our Site One DNA.
- Ensure that all Vehicle Logs are filled out properly as required in each state where the Fulfillment Center delivers product.
- Schedule and confirm deliveries, maintain a visible calendar for branches and sellers to reference.
- Complete delivery schedules for each driver.
- Manage regular rotation of scheduled deliveries according to pre‑arranged days for each Delivery Zone.
- Manage fleet of the Fulfillment Center, making sure regular maintenance service is performed for the vehicle to function safely and effectively.
- Maintain supplies for the needs of the Fulfillment Center, such as shrink wrap, pallet covers, office supplies, safety needs, etc.
- Excellent communication, customer service and leadership skills.
- Understand accounting fundamentals such as debits, credits, accounts receivable/payable and budgets.
- Knowledge of nursery, agronomics and landscape products.
