This role is designed for external retail assistant managers and store managers interested in a fast-tracking into a Store Management position. This role requires a minimum of 1 year retail management experience.
Responsibilities- Facilitate a customer-centric environment by engaging customers in a friendly and professional manner and rapidly addressing customer issues.
- Monitor and assist in the training of Pawnbrokers so their development meets First Cash standards.
- Recruit top talent by sourcing candidates through company-prescribed channels.
- Open and close the store, including cash drawers and merchandise, ensuring procedures protect assets.
- Ensure asset protection through inventory control, safety procedures, documentation, and securing customer loans.
- Administer processes within the store, including inventory, loan management, merchandising, store presentation, systems, and reporting.
- Evaluate store financial statements and drive profitability through communication and goal-setting.
- Ensure operating standards meet or exceed First Cash standards.
- Monitor loan qualification and buying processes to maintain value and integrity of loans issued.
- Complete assigned tasks and training for self-development as requested.
- Communicate clearly with employees to align with the store’s mission and profit objectives.
- Remain up-to-date on product knowledge.
- Assist as manager on duty in the absence of the Store Manager.
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to stand, stoop, walk, climb, push, pull for extended periods as required by law.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively supervise others.
- Ability to work with firearms and to become firearms certified.
- Customer exterior assistance or retrieval of products from exterior areas may be required.
- Minimum Age: 18 years old
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
- Ability to work in multiple locations as business needs dictate.
- Flexible retail schedule including weekends and holidays.
- Store Manager Trainee will work 45+ hours a week; hours are not guaranteed.
- Computer literate and able to operate POS systems and office machines.
- Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment; detail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skills.
- Cash handling experience required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent work ethic and strong business sense.

- Normal store hours typically 9 AM to 6 PM; many stores closed on Sundays.

- Vacation: 1 week after 6 months; additional 1 week after 1 year; 2 weeks on each anniversary thereafter; 120 hours after 5 years (adjusted for local requirements).
- Sick/Personal time: 8 hours after 6 months; 16 hours each anniversary year 2-5; 24 hours after 5 years (adjusted for local requirements).

Position offers hourly wage plus commission; actual pay depends on location, qualifications, and performance. Commission information: 2-8% of gross profit based on personal performance; details provided during interview. Arbitration agreement may apply.
