The base pay range for this position is $75,134.00/yr - $/yr. Note that relocation to Washington, DC is required for this role.

A recruitment incentive of $50,000 may be eligible for applicants, pending regulatory requirements.

Duties

Uniformed Division Officers carry out protection assignments, including:

• Providing protection for The White House Complex, The Vice President's Residence, and foreign diplomatic missions in Washington, D.C.
• Traveling in support of Presidential, Vice Presidential, and foreign heads of state/government missions.
• Enforcing protective responsibilities as described under Title 18, United States Code, Section 3056A.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Possess a current valid U.S. driver's license.
• Be at least age 20 and less than age 37 at the time of conditional offer, unless prior Federal Civilian Law Enforcement experience applies.
• Carry and use a firearm, with mandatory firearm proficiency.
• Possess uncorrected visual acuity of no worse than 20/100 binocular and corrected visual acuity of 20/20 or better in each eye.
• Hearing loss must not exceed 25 decibels in either ear, with ability to hear whispered voice at 15 feet without a hearing aid.
• Submit to a drug test prior to appointment and random drug testing while occupying the position.
• Complete 12 weeks of intensive training at FLETC and 17 weeks of specialized training at the James J. Rowley Training Center.
• Certify registration with the Selective Service System or exemption, if applicable.

This is an entry-level, full-time position in Law Enforcement.
