Maintenance Technician II
Tallahassee State College is excited to announce a full-time opening for the position of Maintenance Technician II - P00219 in Facility (Maintenance). We're looking for someone who shares our commitment to fostering a vibrant campus community.
What You'll Do
As Maintenance Technician II, you'll play a key role in creating a safe and efficient environment at the Institute.
Day-to-day, you'll be responsible for:
* Performs preventive maintenance on buildings and equipment. Performs any carpentry/masonry related duty to make any necessary repairs or modifications as needed.
* Repairs, maintains, and installs electrical systems, plumbing systems and their components.
* Operates, maintains, and repairs HVAC systems and components including building automation systems.
* Operates, maintains, and repairs vehicles including tractors, forklifts, boom lifts, loaders, large trucks, and motorized carts. Maintains and repairs all small equipment used in the maintenance area. Supervises temporary help, performs concrete work, lock repairs and moves equipment and furniture as needed.
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking a candidate who brings not only technical expertise but also a passion for education and student success. Our ideal candidate will have:
* Graduation from a standard high school or equivalent diploma.
* Four years of experience in at least two of the following areas: HVAC, electrical, plumbing, electronics, and carpentry/masonry.
