Commercial HVAC & Facility Maintenance Technician
Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Commercial HVAC & Facility Maintenance Technician to join our service team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, troubleshooting, and upkeep of commercial heating, cooling, kitchen, and refrigeration systems, as well as handling general facility maintenance.
The ideal candidate is a self-motivated problem solver who takes pride in their workmanship and is flexible enough to travel regionally to support our service network when demand increases.
Compensation & Benefits
- Pay Range: (commensurate with experience).
- Travel Support:Full gas reimbursement provided for all work-related travel.
Key Responsibilities
- HVAC/R Maintenance: Perform routine preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs on commercial HVAC systems and refrigeration units.
- Commercial Kitchen Support: Service, maintain, and troubleshoot various types of commercial kitchen equipment to minimize client downtime.
- Facility Maintenance: Execute general building maintenance tasks and minor mechanical repairs to keep facilities safe, compliant, and operational.
- Regional Travel: Travel to secondary service regions as needed to assist with high-volume service calls and emergency support.
- Documentation: Keep accurate logs of maintenance work, parts used, and travel mileage.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
- Certification: Must possess an active EPA Section 608 Universal Certification (required for handling refrigerants).
- Experience: Proven experience working with commercial HVAC, refrigeration, or commercial kitchen hardware.
- Transportation: Must possess a reliable personal vehicle capable of safely transporting required tools to various job sites.
- Travel Flexibility: Valid driver's license and a strong willingness to travel to other regions when service needs arise.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work comfortably in various commercial environments.
- Soft Skills: Excellent time management, a strong work ethic, and the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
