Location: United States (National Travel — up to 75%)

Onsite Flexibility: On the road / travel-based

Employment Type: Direct Hire

Schedule: 60–70 hour work weeks — typically 3–4 weeks on the road, 1 week off

Compensation: Hourly, non-exempt. Eligible for significant overtime (average 1,000+ OT hours per year).

Job Summary Seeking experienced Commercial HVAC Crew Leaders to oversee field installation teams across the United States. This role requires extensive rooftop HVAC installation experience
, project leadership, and strict adherence to safety and compliance standards. The Crew Leader will supervise 4–6 technicians and ensure each project meets quality, timeline, and client specifications. This position offers substantial travel opportunities

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage a field crew of 4–6 team members on commercial HVAC replacement projects.
  • Oversee installation, wiring, and connection of rooftop HVAC units, including electrical disconnects/reconnects, controls/EMS, life safety systems, gas piping, and condensate drains.
  • Coordinate unit removal, crane operations, adapter curb installation, and all field safety protocols.
  • Perform timekeeping and project reporting for all field personnel.
  • Interpret and execute installation plans and blueprints accurately.
  • Enforce OSHA construction safety standards across all job sites.
  • Operate or obtain certification for required equipment:
    • Mobile Elevating Work Platforms (MEWP)
    • Telehandler Forklift
    • Crane Rigger/Signal Person
    • OSHA-10 Certification
  • Communicate effectively with clients, office staff, and project management teams.
  • Maintain workflow organization, jobsite compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Perform physically demanding work in outdoor environments (hot or cold).
Required Experience
  • 5+ years of commercial HVAC installation experience
    , including rooftop unit replacements
    .
  • Proven ability to lead and manage field installation teams.
  • Deep understanding of electrical systems, controls, and construction safety.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
    .
  • Ability to travel nationally up to 75–100% of the time.
Nice-to-Have Experience
  • Journeyman or state-specific HVAC licensing.
  • Familiarity with sheet metal and duct installation.
  • Experience working with mobile field communication systems.
Required Skills
  • Rooftop HVAC installation and retrofit expertise

  • OSHA safety compliance and jobsite management
Preferred Skills
  • Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting

Additional Requirements
  • National background check, pre-employment drug screening, and MVR check required.
  • Ability to acquire additional licenses or certifications based on project/state requirements.
Work Environment
  • Travel-based position — job sites across the United States.
  • 60–70 hours per week; heavy overtime opportunities.
