- Lead hourly team members to meet plant production and quality goals while ensuring a safe working environment.
- Manage and own various functions of the business and create an engaged, team‑oriented workforce to improve results.
- Direct all activities related to a production shift to maximize productivity, minimize cost, and maintain safety and quality.
- Handle supervisory tasks: interview, hire, train employees; assign work; appraise performance; reward and discipline staff; resolve complaints and problems.
- Allocate labor and resources, review staffing needs, and ensure proper shift transitions.
- Ensure adherence to production schedule, material usage, and output requirements, including compliance of line speeds, set‑ups and materials.
- Support quality initiatives to meet plant goals and serve as a liaison between production and quality.
- Implement safety programs effectively, review them regularly, and revise as necessary.
- Comply with SQF and GMP practices and report food safety problems to the appropriate authority.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 4+ years of related professional, progressive manufacturing experience.
- Prior team management experience with a proven track record of developing, coaching, and mentoring a diverse staff.
- Proficient in MS Office and SAP.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Self‑directed and able to work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple accountabilities and internal customers.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule during key business deadlines.
- Team‑oriented with a high level of collaboration and performance.
