Coach​/Ops Mgr Trainee

Overview

Base pay range: $31.00/hr - $38.00/hr your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

• Lead and develop teams by teaching, training and actively listening to associates; tour stores and provide feedback; communicate and collaborate with all levels of associates regarding store operations, technology initiatives, merchandising and company direction; introduce and lead company change efforts; provide clear expectations and guidance to implement business solutions and communicate business objectives to teams.
• Model and demonstrate exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way (OBW) service model; manage and support customer service initiatives and community programs; resolve customer needs and issues; develop and implement action plans to improve service quality.
• Drive financial performance for the designated store area by reviewing PL statements; assist in budgeting, forecasting and controlling expenses; ensure merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow and operations support goals; develop action plans to mitigate shrink and achieve sales and profit targets.
• Provide supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates—hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting expectations, recognizing performance and fostering a culture of belonging.
• Coordinate and oversee job-related activities by building relationships with key stakeholders, supporting plans and initiatives, setting goals, measuring progress and addressing opportunities for improvement.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and support the mission, values and ethical standards; promote Open Door Policy in applying these practices to business processes.
• Embody Walmart values through integrity, teamwork, and service; foster a culture of belonging and continuous improvement; advocate for responsible entrepreneurship and positive impact for associates, customers and communities.

• 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience.
• For facilities that sell firearms: successful completion of CBC and firearms-appropriate training; for facilities with firearms or ammunition requirements: may need a state-issued Certificate of Eligibility.
• Associates must attend and successfully complete job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings).

• Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University;
  Certificate of Completion in People and Business Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University; experience supervising 5+ direct reports with performance management, mentoring, hiring and firing.
