As a Merchandise Planning Specialist, the primary purpose of this position is to maximize sales and profitability goals through efficient planning, analysis, and optimization of showroom product assortment. The role builds and maintains cross‑functional relationships with Buyers, Visual, Supply Chain, and Sales. It uses space planning and data analysis procedures to optimize showroom assortment by region, produce transition plans, scope plans, and CAD layouts.
WhatYou’ll Do…
- Assortment Optimization
- Participate in showroom tours by region with merchants, visual, and sales teams to evaluate product performance and address gaps or opportunities.
- Compile showroom performance data to review with sales management and solicit feedback.
- Present recommendations to keep, drop, or replace items based on analysis.
- Generate showroom merchandising project scope and CAD layout plans and coordinate execution.
- Assortment Planning
- Allocate store space effectively based on assortment performance by style and product categories.
- Produce product transition plans tailored for different store locations.
- Assortment Analysis
- Evaluate and optimize the product assortment by region using historical sales data to identify top‑performers, slow movers, and underperformers.
- Recognize seasonal variations and emerging trends to adjust the assortment.
- CAD Management
- Create showroom revenue per square foot CAD diagrams and evaluate performance.
- Update and maintain showroom product CAD layouts and library.
- New Store Opening & Remodel Projects
- Support planning and execution of new store opening and showroom remodel projects.
- Adhere to all assigned Standard Work and Role responsibilities.

- Education & Work Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Merchandising, Business Administration, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 1-2 years of related experience preferred; experience in a retail environment, merchandising, category management, or space planning preferred.
- Work Environment & Schedule
- Monday-Friday, flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Up to 10% travel with overnight stays as needed.
- Physical Requirements
- Prolonged sitting in office.
- Prolonged walking and standing during showroom tours.
- Occasional lifting up to 40 lbs.
- Technology Requirements
- Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and Google Suite.
- Advanced Excel skills.
- Autodesk AutoCAD.
- Certifications / Licenses
- Valid Florida Driver’s license.
