Grants and Membership Administrator (Tameside)
OverviewThis role will support our strategic ambition to grow and transform as a local funder. You will connect with our Community Development team to make sure grant applicants are offered the support they need to develop, bid, deliver and evaluate their projects. You will also offer a welcoming and professional first point of contact for our new members and work with our Operations Manager to maximise the engagement of our membership.
You will also support with other administrative tasks to support the Tameside management team.
- Supporting the awarding of grants to community groups and projects, ensuring our funding reaches where it’s needed most and aligns with the IVAR principles of open and trusting grantmaking.
- Connecting with the Community Development team to provide applicants with the support required throughout the grant cycle.
- Serving as a welcoming first point of contact for new members and collaborating with the Operations Manager to enhance membership engagement.
- Assisting with general administrative tasks for the Tameside management team.
Has excellent organisational skills and attention to detail, with a good understanding of the VCFSE sector and grant investments, and is passionate about Tameside’s communities and committed to social justice.
- Able to work proactively and independently.
- Able to communicate clearly and accurately in writing.
- Able to communicate professionally in person and over the phone.
- Able to use Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint to a good standard.
- Able to use systems to keep accurate records (e.g., membership records, grant information, using a database).
- Experienced at organising meetings and events.
