Outpatient receptionist
Responsibilities- DSEU Permanent - Full time Outpatient receptionist, 37.5 hours per week. The outpatient reception DSEU rota is across 7 days, and staff are required to cover shifts between the hours of 7am to 7pm Monday to Sunday, including bank holidays. The successful candidates must be able to support the flexibility of the rota.
- Provide a professional, effective reception and clerical service for Trust outpatients and DSEU (Day surgery and Endoscopy Unit).
- Input and extract information from Trust Patient Administrative Systems; computer literacy is essential.
- Assist in preparing and managing patients’ Medical Records as required.
- Maintain a high level of accuracy and confidentiality in all reception duties.
- Direct patients and relatives to the appropriate area or service in a courteous, efficient and professional manner.
- Undertake a variety of administration duties to support the smooth running of the service and allocated reception area.
The role requires the ability to work as part of a busy team and on your own initiative.
Requirements and skills- Good communication and customer service skills; friendly and caring while maintaining a professional approach.
- Ability to evidence accuracy and attention to detail at all times.
- Understanding and appreciation of the confidential nature of information.
- Ability to work as part of a very busy team and on own initiative.

Please note that whilst the Trust does offer sponsorship, this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship under the UK Health and Care Worker visa route. This is due to the position not meeting the minimum salary threshold of £25,000 per annum and/or the required skill level set by UK Visas and Immigration.
