Senior Estimator / Estimator
Location: Manchester (Office-Based)
Position: Full-Time
We are seeking an experienced
Senior Estimator or Estimator
to join a specialist, award winning Building Envelope Solutions provider who operate nationwide as both a principal and sub contractor who delivers
Façade & Fire wall remediation
,
Building Envelope solutions
and refurbishment projects. Candidates must have strong experience in
façade remediation
, with
full through-wall construction experience
including but not limited to
SFS Intumescent lining boards, insultation, breather membranes, VCL
and all external
facade facing products
such as
EWI, Brickslip, terracotta tiles, aluminium
and
HPL
and hard metal finishing products
- Preparing accurate cost estimates for façade remediation and construction projects valued up to£10 million
- Managing the estimating process from initial enquiry through to final tender submission
- Reviewing drawings, specifications, schedules, and tender documentation
- Interrogate and understand FRAEWs reports.
- Producing detailed quantity take-offs and cost plans
- Obtaining and analysing supplier and subcontractor quotations
- Identifying commercial risks and value engineering opportunities
- Supporting projects through the
PCSA (Pre-Construction Services Agreement)process - Liaising with internal teams, clients, consultants, and subcontractors throughout the pre-construction phase
- Undertaking occasional site visits to assess project requirements and gather information
- Previous experience as an Estimator or Senior Estimator within façade remediation, building envelope, cladding, or related construction sectors
- A solid knowledge of system performance and their requirements to meet building safety standards
- PCSA project pricing
- Good prelim strategy knowledge
- Please note:
this role will be based in their North Manchester office - Essential experience and understanding of
full through-wall construction systems - Strong knowledge of façade remediation methodologies and associated regulations
- Proven ability to manage tenders from enquiry through to submission
- Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office applications
