Eden Brown are currently looking for an experienced and passionate GCSE English Teacher to join a leading Further Education College in Greater Manchester.

This is a full time role, 36 hours per week paid, to start in January.

The Role:

As a GCSE English Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons that inspire students to excel in their GCSE English exams. You will create a supportive and inclusive learning environment, helping students develop the skills and confidence they need to succeed academically. You will also be part of a collaborative team, working together to support students progression and personal development.

Key Responsibilities:

* Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality, engaging GCSE English lessons.

* Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback.

* Adapt teaching methods to suit individual learning needs and styles.

* Support students with exam preparation and coursework.

* Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to the continuous improvement of teaching and learning strategies.

* Provide pastoral support and guidance to students, promoting their personal and academic growth.

Essential Criteria :

* A relevant teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent).

* Degree in English or a related subject.

* Proven experience in teaching GCSE English in a further education setting.

* Strong understanding of the GCSE English curriculum and exam requirements.

* Ability to engage and inspire students of varying abilities.

* Excellent communication and organisational skills.

* A commitment to supporting the diverse needs of students.

A DBS is also needed for this role.
