Are you a motivated and dedicated Key Stage 2 Teaching Assistant looking to make a difference during a key stage of pupils' development? We are working closely with a warm and inclusive primary school in Hyde that supports children throughout Key Stage 2. The school offers a nurturing and positive learning environment where pupils are encouraged to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Some children have additional learning or SEN needs, providing a rewarding opportunity to deliver tailored, one‑to‑one or small‑group support.
This role offers the chance to become part of a supportive and collaborative team, where you will play a vital role in helping pupils build confidence, independence, and a positive approach to learning.
Responsibilities- Support pupils in lessons on a one‑to‑one or small‑group basis.
- Assist the class teacher with lesson preparation and delivery.
- Provide targeted support for pupils with SEN or additional learning needs.
- Promote positive behaviour, engagement, and confidence.
- Help create a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment.
- Support pupils' academic progress and emotional wellbeing.
- Experience supporting children in a primary school or childcare setting is desirable.
- Understanding of Key Stage 2 learning and curriculum expectations.
- Patient, proactive, and adaptable approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's wellbeing.
- Hold Right to Work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS registered with the update service or be willing to apply.
- Provide two professional, child‑related references covering the last two years.
