Scale points 2-7 FTE £27,717 - £34,741 (Pro-rota 0.88 FTE £24,391 - £30,572)
Term-Time Only (38 weeks per year), 36 hrs per week, working hours TBC linked to timetable for tutorials.
Progress Tutor
OverviewAre you a Progress Tutor who is skilled and a highly motivated individual looking to join our established team? You will inspire every student to reach their full potential regardless of their starting point. We'd love to hear from you.
Responsibilities- Deliver a proportionate caseload of group tutorials across a variety of levels and curriculum areas, focusing on personal development, behaviour, welfare and employability.
- Work alongside curriculum teams to break down barriers and ensure all students achieve successful academic and social outcomes.
- Monitor attendance, achievement and progression of students within an educational setting.
- Apply knowledge of issues faced by young people with barriers to learning (social, emotional, behavioural) to motivate students with diverse needs.
- Maintain excellent interpersonal skills, remain calm, and use problem‑solving approaches to manage challenging situations.
- Enthusiasm, resilience and motivation.
- Relevant level 4 qualification or equivalent, plus a level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy.
- Experience supporting learners across a range of curriculum areas in an educational environment.
- Experience with target-setting and monitoring of learners.
- Proven track record delivering personal development sessions or similar.
