Teacher in Professional Construction Studies

We are looking for a Teacher in Professional Construction Studies to join us at Tameside College starting on 17th August 2026.

As a teaching colleague you’ll enter the Teacher Pensions scheme and enjoy a great holiday allowance of 45 days.

Key responsibilities include:

• Planning, delivering and developing teaching/learning programmes using flexible strategies and learning styles.
• Taking responsibility for the quality of teaching and related curriculum development that meet learner needs.
• Assessing learner progress in the College or on work experience and devising assessment processes against highly personalised progress targets.

Requirements:

• Enthusiasm, resilience and high motivation with literacy and numeracy at least Level 2.
• Level 3 qualification or relevant NVQ (or equivalent) in one of the following construction trades:
  Electrical, Bricklaying, Carpentry & Joinery, Plumbing, Painting & Decorating.
• Level 4 Teaching
  
  Qualification:
  
  Certificate in Education, PGCE, Bachelor of Education or required to achieve Level 5 Diploma (DTLLS) or equivalent within 3 years of appointment; relevant assessment qualifications – IQA, A1, V1 and evidence of current continuous professional development.
