About the Role:

Cover People are currently recruiting for a PE Teacher to join an oversubscribed, welcoming secondary academy (11-16) based in Tameside, Greater Manchester starting from September 2026 for a full term as a minimum!

This position allows you to make a positive impact in a long term role, delivering engaging cover lessons to 11-16 year olds. ECT 1's and ECT 2's will be allocated a supportive mentor to complete AT LEAST 1 full term.

M1-M6 Teachers will be paid to scale starting from day one.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality teaching in line with national curriculum standards
Monitor and assess pupil progress effectively
Manage classroom behaviour and create a positive learning environment
Support the academic and personal development of all learners

Requirements:

QTS or equivalent UK teaching qualification
Experience teaching KS3 & GCSE PE & General Cover
Strong classroom and behaviour management
A passion for teaching and pupil progress
Right to work in the UK
