Teaching Personnel are seeking a caring, patient and enthusiastic 1:1 SEND Support Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive mainstream primary school in Ashton-under-Lyne.

In this rewarding role, you will work closely with the class teacher and SENDCo to provide dedicated support to a KS1 pupil, helping them to develop their learning, communication, emotional wellbeing and independence. You will play an important role in helping the pupil overcome barriers to learning and reach their full potential.

  • Have a genuine passion for supporting children with SEND.
  • Be calm, patient, nurturing and understanding.
  • Be confident in building positive and trusting relationships with children.
  • Be adaptable and able to respond effectively to individual needs.
  • Work collaboratively as part of a supportive school team.
  • Have previous experience working with SEND or in a primary school setting (desirable, but not essential).

Full training and ongoing support will be provided for the right candidate.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
