Smile Education is working in partnership with a number of welcoming and inclusive primary schools across Hyde, Denton and Droylsden, recruiting passionate and qualified Teaching Assistants to join their dedicated teams. These are fantastic opportunities for Teaching Assistants who are passionate about supporting children's learning, development and wellbeing and who want to make a genuine difference within positive and rewarding primary school environments.

- Supporting the class teacher with the delivery of engaging and inclusive lessons.
- Working with individual pupils and small groups to support learning and progress.
- Providing targeted support to pupils who require additional assistance.
- Helping to create a positive, safe and stimulating classroom environment.
- Supporting pupils with their academic, social and emotional development.
- Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils develop independence.
- Preparing classroom resources and assisting with learning activities.
- Working collaboratively with teachers, support staff and other professionals.
- Providing pastoral and practical support where required.
- Helping pupils overcome barriers to learning and achieve their potential.
- Contributing positively to the wider school community.
We are looking for a qualified Teaching Assistant who has:
- A recognised Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant / Supporting Teaching and Learning qualification, or an equivalent relevant qualification.
- Recent experience working within a UK primary school or education setting.
- A genuine passion for supporting children and helping them succeed.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, caring and child-centred approach.
- The ability to support pupils with different abilities and learning needs.
- Good behaviour management skills.
- The confidence to work independently and as part of a team.
- A proactive, reliable and adaptable approach.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and promoting children's welfare.
The schools are welcoming primary settings located across Hyde, Denton and Droylsden, serving diverse local communities across Greater Manchester. Each school is committed to providing pupils with a safe, supportive, and engaging learning environment where children are encouraged to achieve their potential. Staff work collaboratively to support pupils' academic progress, personal development and wellbeing. The schools are conveniently located for education professionals travelling from Hyde, Denton, Droylsden, Audenshaw, Ashton-under-Lyne, Dukinfield, Stalybridge, Openshaw, Failsworth and surrounding areas.
Requirements- Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent relevant qualification.
- Recent UK experience working with children in a school or education setting.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one through Smile Education.
- Two years of employment and/or education references.
- At least one professional reference relating to working with children.
