Registered Nurse Associate - Endoscopy

The primary focus of this role is to provide an effective and high quality service in relation to the specified clinical procedures within the Endoscopy Unit. This involves undertaking a range of clinical procedures where knowledge of the procedure is required and dealing with related non‑routine activities such as complications, answering questions or monitoring progress during/following the procedure under the supervision of a registered nurse.

The post holder needs to be motivated, work as part of a well‑established team and be an excellent communicator with the ability to support the team in the day‑to‑day operation of the services they provide.

The Endoscopy Unit within the NHS Foundation Trust is JAG accredited. The service incorporates a 3‑room Endoscopy unit delivering both diagnostic and therapeutic intervention to all patients.

• Deliver high quality service by performing specified clinical procedures.
• Deal with non‑routine activities such as complications, questions or monitoring progress during or following procedures under RN supervision.
• Support the team in the day‑to‑day operation of services.
• Work towards completing a portfolio of evidence in Endoscopy.
• Receive ongoing training and professional development.
