Join our Digital Tameside team and help shape the future of ICT Services. We are looking for a Senior ICT Technical Specialist to play a key role in managing and supporting our core infrastructure services.

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced technical professional to work on complex systems and high-impact projects that keep our organisation running smoothly and securely.

Role Overview

As a Senior ICT Technical Specialist on our Infrastructure Team, you will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and ongoing support of critical ICT infrastructure services.

  • Back‑ups
  • Ensure high availability, security, performance and reliability across all systems while providing expert guidance to users, colleagues and stakeholders.
  • Act as a technical authority, project lead and escalation point; drive service improvement, support strategic development and ensure compliance with organisational and legislative requirements.
Qualifications
  • Proven experience in managing and delivering large‑scale ICT solutions.
  • Strong hands‑on technical expertise in complex ICT environments.
  • Ability to lead projects and act as an escalation point for technical issues.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills and adaptability to change.
  • Strong communication skills to explain technical concepts clearly to non‑technical audiences.
