Press Brake Operator

Position: Press Brake Operator (Permanent)
We’re hiring for a Press Brake Programmer to join a longstanding fabrication company based in Hyde.
This is a hands-on role working on a variety of bespoke products, primarily operating a Press brake with the option to grow your skills within fabrication and welding of sheet metal.

* Mon - Fri | 7:30am – 4:45pm

* Early finish on Thursdays and Fridays

What will you be doing as a Press Brake Programmer?

* Setting, programming and operating brake press, guillotine and laser machines

* Reading and interpreting engineering drawings

* Cutting and bending metal components (mild and stainless steel)

* Inspecting parts and ensuring components meet required tolerances

* Minimising wastage and reporting material shortages

* Ability to assist with fabrication i.e. TIG tack welding and basic fabrication duties
What do you need?

* Time-served background in sheet metal work

* Experience setting and operating an Amada Press Brake

* Experience welding TIG (desirable)

* Ability to read and interpret technical drawings

* Polishing, metal finishing and MIG welding skills (desirable)
