Sheet Metal Worker

Up to £18.50 per Hour | 36 Hour Week | Early Finish Fridays | 4-Day Week Available

Are you an experienced Sheet Metal Worker looking to join a precision engineering environment where quality, flexibility and employee development are valued?

We are recruiting for a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join a well-established manufacturer supplying high‑precision components into highly regulated industries, including aerospace.

The Role

Working as part of a skilled production team, you will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling sheet metal components to exact specifications, ensuring all work meets stringent quality and customer requirements.

  • Fabricating and assembling sheet metal components
  • Forming, bending and shaping materials to engineering drawings
  • Using hand tools and sheet metal machinery
  • Conducting self‑inspection and quality checks
  • Working to strict manufacturing standards and procedures
  • Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
What We're Looking For
  • Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Worker
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and quality standards
  • Experience working within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
  • Good understanding of fabrication and assembly techniques
Highly Desirable
  • Aerospace manufacturing experience
  • Experience working to AS9100 quality standards
  • Experience with in a NADCAP accredited environment
  • Previous experience producing aerospace components
Hours of Work

Standard Working Week – 36 hours

Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:15
Friday: 08:00 – 13:00
30‑minute lunch break

Alternative 4‑Day Week Available
36 hours across four days
Typical hours 07:00 – 16:30
Flexible start times available by agreement

Overtime

Overtime is available subject to business requirements:

  • First 10 overtime hours paid at Time and a Half
  • Additional overtime paid at Double Time
Salary & Benefits
