Sheet Metal Worker
Up to £18.50 per Hour | 36 Hour Week | Early Finish Fridays | 4-Day Week Available
Are you an experienced Sheet Metal Worker looking to join a precision engineering environment where quality, flexibility and employee development are valued?
We are recruiting for a skilled Sheet Metal Worker to join a well-established manufacturer supplying high‑precision components into highly regulated industries, including aerospace.
The RoleWorking as part of a skilled production team, you will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling sheet metal components to exact specifications, ensuring all work meets stringent quality and customer requirements.
- Fabricating and assembling sheet metal components
- Forming, bending and shaping materials to engineering drawings
- Using hand tools and sheet metal machinery
- Conducting self‑inspection and quality checks
- Working to strict manufacturing standards and procedures
- Maintaining a safe and organised working environment
- Previous experience as a Sheet Metal Worker
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and quality standards
- Experience working within a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of fabrication and assembly techniques
- Aerospace manufacturing experience
- Experience working to AS9100 quality standards
- Experience with in a NADCAP accredited environment
- Previous experience producing aerospace components
Standard Working Week – 36 hours
Monday to Thursday: 08:00 – 16:15
Friday: 08:00 – 13:00
30‑minute lunch break
Alternative 4‑Day Week Available
36 hours across four days
Typical hours 07:00 – 16:30
Flexible start times available by agreement
Overtime is available subject to business requirements:
- First 10 overtime hours paid at Time and a Half
- Additional overtime paid at Double Time
- Up to £18.50 per hour depending on experience
- Early finish every Friday
- Optional 4‑day working week
