38.5 Hours Per Week Monday to Thursday: 7:30am to 4:15pm Friday: 7:30am to 1:00pm
Ford & Stanley are pleased to be working with our client, a leading manufacturer within the water, utilities, and heavy engineering sector, to recruit an experienced Fabricator for their manufacturing facility in Hyde.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business producing bespoke fabricated products for critical infrastructure projects. The role offers a varied workload and would suit a skilled fabricator who enjoys working on bespoke fabrications rather than repetitive production work.
The RoleWorking from engineering drawings, you will be responsible for the fabrication and assembly of bespoke components, predominantly using mild steel up to 25mm thick. You will utilise a range of fabrication techniques and workshop machinery to manufacture products to exacting quality standards.
Key Responsibilities- Read and interpret engineering drawings and fabrication specifications.
- Fabricate and assemble bespoke steel components to customer requirements.
- Work with mild steel materials up to 25mm thick.
- Carry out forming and shaping operations using a variety of fabrication techniques.
- Operate workshop equipment including:
- Pyramid rollers
- Punch presses
- Radial arm drills
- Tack components in preparation for welding.
- Perform dimensional and visual quality inspections.
- Work safely and efficiently to production schedules.
- Maintain a clean and organised working environment.
- Proven experience as a Fabricator within a manufacturing or heavy engineering environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Experience working with mild steel up to 25mm thickness.
- Competent using fabrication and forming equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

- £19.00 per hour.
