We are looking for a Manufacturing Engineer to work on a permanent basis near Ashton Under Lyne.
Salary is c £50,000 per annum plus 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, pension, company bonus etc.
About the Manufacturing Engineer role:The position will involve working closely with Production, Quality and NC Programming to ensure projects are planned effectively, manufactured to the required specification and delivered on time.
The RoleAs a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be responsible for planning and coordinating the manufacturing process for individual components and assemblies across customer projects.
Key responsibilities for the Manufacturing Engineer:- Planning manufacturing sequences and processes for individual parts and assemblies.
- Developing effective and efficient manufacturing routes to meet customer requirements.
- Liaising with NC Programming to ensure the most appropriate manufacturing methods and processes are used.
- Working closely with Production and Quality to ensure customer specifications and requirements are fully understood and achieved.
- Monitoring project progress and providing updates to customers where required.
- Identifying and resolving manufacturing issues throughout the project lifecycle.
- Supporting the business with continuous improvement and best practice manufacturing methods.
- Ensuring projects remain on schedule and any potential issues are identified and addressed promptly.
- Working across multiple departments to ensure a smooth transition from planning through to manufacture.
The successful candidate will ideally have:
- Previous experience within a Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Planning environment.
- Experience planning manufacturing processes, routes or sequences.
- A good understanding of engineering/manufacturing processes.
- Experience working closely with Production, Quality and CNC/NC Programming teams.
- The ability to interpret engineering requirements and translate them into practical manufacturing solutions.
- Strong problem-solving and organisational skills.
- Good communication skills, with the confidence to liaise with both internal teams and customers.
- A proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple projects or priorities.
