Hygiene Manager (Nights)

Location: Hyde

Hours: 10pm-6am

We are looking for an experienced Hygiene Manager to lead and develop our site hygiene operation, ensuring the highest standards of food safety, compliance, and continuous improvement.

As a key member of the team, you will drive the Food Safety & Hygiene strategy using Operational Excellence (OPEX) principles, ensuring compliance with legislative requirements while delivering measurable improvements in hygiene performance, audit results, and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and develop the hygiene team, promoting a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and high performance.
  • Drive excellence in food safety and hygiene standards across the site.
  • Use OPEX tools and data analysis to identify root causes, solve problems, and deliver sustainable improvements.
  • Set, maintain, and improve standards across safety, quality, environmental, and manufacturing processes.
  • Drive strong internal and external audit performance and implement improvement plans.
  • Manage hygiene-related projects in line with site objectives and business priorities.
  • Ensure compliance with SOPs, CICs, COSHH requirements, and risk assessments.
  • Monitor, measure, and report Hygiene KPIs on a monthly basis.
  • Coach and support teams to embed best practice hygiene standards and behaviours.
Essential
  • Hygiene-related Certificate or Diploma.
  • Food Safety Level 3 and HACCP Level 3 qualifications.
  • COSHH Training.
  • Proven experience leading a hygiene operation within a food manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of hygiene management best practices.
  • Knowledge of hygiene processes and microbiological controls.
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Natural coaching and people development ability.
