Junior Quality Engineer

We are looking for a Junior Quality Engineer to work for a large engineering company based in Dukinfield.

Salary is £30-32,000 per annum plus 25 days' holiday and bank holidays, company bonus, pension, healthcare etc.

Working alongside experienced Quality Engineers, you will provide support across a range of quality activities to ensure products meet the required specifications and quality standards. This is an excellent entry-level opportunity with genuine career progression.

• Support the Quality Engineering team with day-to-day quality activities.
• Assist with product inspections and ensuring products meet specification requirements.
• Help maintain calibration records and quality documentation.
• Support the company's Quality Management System (QMS) and Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Assist with general quality department administration.
• Ensure compliance with health & safety procedures and maintain high housekeeping standards.

• Must be committed to working safely and comply with the 5S standards in place.
• Minimum 3 years' work experience required and must be within a manufacturing environment (preferably within a quality team)
• Ideal candidate will have an understanding of manufacturing quality functions (product conformance / calibration / specifications)
• Key process knowledge:
  • Manufacturing principles from material to finished products
  • Aerospace / defence high standards of work
  • An understanding of a QMS / IMS
  • General office / department administration
• This role is an entry level role with a view to moving up to a QE role. The candidate will be required to support other QE's carrying out a range of department tasks
