Retail Assistant

Responsibilities

• Serve trade and retail customers for click-and-collect and general orders while maximizing sales opportunities.
• Pick relevant parts from the warehouse to fulfill customer orders.
• Assist the sales team with product promotion sales by answering telephone and electronic queries as needed.
• Fully satisfy customer needs in respect of part orders, returns, or queries.
• Check customer returns for resale, warranty, or surcharge.
• Contribute to positive team performance while working on personal benchmarks to optimize personal performance and promote product promotions.
• Utilize the e‑learning portal to develop product knowledge and improve performance.
• Maintain clean and tidy customer‑facing areas of the branch.
• Develop strong working relationships with customers and understand their garage needs.
• Represent the company’s values and maintain a professional appearance.
• Work toward the achievement of relevant set KPI’s.

• Proven customer service or sales/retail experience within a customer‑facing role.
• Target‑driven and motivated to achieve results.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Positive approach to customer queries and pro‑active resolution seeking.
• Confident user of IT and computer systems.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Knowledge of car parts or the automotive industry is advantageous but not essential.
• Knowledge of MAM, Allicat, MS Office is desirable.

45 (average) hours Monday to Friday, including alternate Saturday working.
