The Role

Pickles Recruitment are working with a high-end retail installation business who specialise in assembling and installing branded retail display units in major stores across the UK.

This is a hands-on, fast-paced role where you will travel nationwide, working overnight to ensure retail displays are installed to an exceptional standard, ready for store opening.

You will be responsible for completing installations on time, every time — with a strong focus on professionalism, quality, and attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

* Assemble and install retail display units within high-end stores

* Use hand tools confidently to build and fit display structures accurately

* Work independently on site, managing your own workload and deadlines

* Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and within strict time frames

* Travel across the UK as part of a night shift installation team

* Stay overnight in hotels regularly (all accommodation provided)

* Maintain a professional attitude when working in customer-facing retail environments

* Ensure installations are clean, tidy, and store-ready upon completion

Candidate Requirements

We are looking for committed, reliable individuals who take pride in their work.

Essential:

* Previous experience in assembly, installation, shopfitting or similar hands-on work

* Confident using basic hand tools

* Able to work independently and self-manage tasks on site

* Proven ability to work to deadlines and deliver high-quality results

* Willing and able to work night shifts

* Comfortable with frequent UK-wide travel and regular nights away from home

* Experience in a role that required staying away overnight is highly important

* Professional, presentable, and trustworthy when working in major retail stores

Preferred:

* Full UK Driving Licence

* Previous experience installing POS units, retail fixtures or shopfitting projects
