The Role

This role will provide strategic direction, leadership and support to the multi-agency complex safeguarding and missing children service, ensuring that children and young people in Tameside are well supported across the spectrum of need, from early help to risk intervention, with a focus on increasing safety, aspiration and building trusted relationships.

The service lead will work closely with key partners, strengthening information sharing, prevention of harm, responses to children’s needs and protection, and support to recover from harm. You will have opportunities to engage with the wider Greater Manchester Complex Safeguarding agenda, with rich opportunities for learning and support.

There will be a close relationship with the work of the Tameside Children’s Safeguarding Partnership, with the service lead playing a key role in offering assurance to partners that the complex safeguarding response in Tameside is robust and making a difference to outcomes for children, young people and their families.
