Class 2 Driver

We are looking for a class 2 driver for our client based in Tameside working Monday to Friday 8am starts, delivering and collecting freight on curtain side truck. This is an ongoing role Monday to Friday.

PAYE or LTD available

PAYE: £15 Per hour or £16.50 with holiday pay. LTD: £18.50.

• Driving:
  Operate a Class 2 vehicle to deliver goods to customer locations, following assigned routes and schedules.
• Vehicle Maintenance:
  Conduct pre-trip inspections and ensure the vehicle is in good working condition, reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
• Loading and Unloading:
  Assist with the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring they are secured and transported safely.
• Documentation:
  Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including delivery logs, vehicle inspection reports, and any other required paperwork.
• Customer Service:
  Provide excellent customer service by delivering goods on time, handling customer inquiries, and ensuring products are delivered in a professional manner.
• Compliance:
  Adhere to all traffic laws, company policies, and health and safety regulations to ensure a safe driving environment.
• Communication:
  Stay in regular communication with the logistics team and supervisors to ensure timely delivery and to resolve any issues that may arise during transport.

• Valid Class 2 Driver's License (essential)
• Proven Experience:
  
  Minimum of 1 year of driving experience with no more than 6 points for minor endorsements
• Physical Fitness:
  Ability to lift and carry heavy items, as required for loading and unloading.
• Safety Awareness:
  Strong understanding of traffic laws and safety regulations.
