Required

Skills and Experience

Shift Leader Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address any concerns or questions.
  • Perform oil changes, filter replacements, and lubrication services for vehicles.
  • Inspect vehicles for any potential issues or areas that require attention.
  • Conduct basic maintenance tasks such as tire rotations and fluid level checks.
  • Use basic computer knowledge/aptitude.
  • Keep track of inventory and ensure all supplies are readily available.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Requirements
  • Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
  • Excellent problem‑solving skills.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
  • Able to learn and follow the VIOC Super Pro process for all services.
  • Achieve Super Pro certification.
  • Must have reliable transportation.
Essential Functions
  • Inspect and replace car lights and wipers.
  • Check fluid levels and add fluids to vehicle when necessary.
  • Inspect/replace engine air filter and cabin air filter.
  • Add oil to engine in the proper amount based on vehicle specifications.
  • Rotate, lift, and reinstall tires for tire rotation service.
  • Lubricate necessary components of the chassis/driveline.
  • Perform additional services on cooling systems and transmissions.
  • Perform second checks by visually verifying and performing proper callouts.
  • Move from bay to bay to perform services on multiple vehicles.
  • Ascend/descend stairs, catwalks, and stepstools to retrieve vehicle parts or perform services near the vehicle.
  • Work for extended periods of time with arms above your head under the vehicle on a catwalk.
  • Position yourself to perform required services under the hood or on the catwalk.
  • Move/transport items up to approximately 50 pounds.
  • Work with tools in tight, hard‑to‑reach areas.
  • Communicate verbally and receive verbal communication to ensure services are performed accurately, safely and in the proper order.
Environment
  • Work occurs inside and outside in varying temperature conditions.
  • Experience significant noise that may require speaking loudly.
  • Encounter hazards such as moving mechanical parts, moving vehicles, electrical current, high heat, chemical exposure.
  • Exposure to fumes, odors, dust, mists, gases, and restricted ventilation.
  • Operate in narrow aisles or passageways such as catwalks.
