What is the role?
- You will be a part of a team that maintains client’s accounting and financial records. You will ensure that financial information is accurate, timely and meaningful.
- You will manage the day-to-day performance of client projects by performing accounting work, business process evaluation, documentation, and other tasks as assigned.

Who, what, and how?
- Based out of Tampa, FL
- You will work within your team and cross functional with other departments such as Bookkeeping, CFO/Controller, Business Optimization, Technology, etc.
- You will be joining a growing firm that invests in your development as a leader and believes in your ability to make profound impacts on clients and their teams.
- You will receive 1on1 development including leading high-performance teams, effective communication with stakeholders, execs and individuals, structure and execution of problem solving.
- Local travel to client sites is sometimes required.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
- Full and partial execution of month-end close
- Maintain and ensure financial transactions and journals are properly reported
- Prepare detailed account reconciliations
- Financial analysis of current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations to predict future events
- Preparation and review of financial statements
- Financial performance ratio preparation and analysis
- Analysis of operational budgets/forecasts
- Ensure accounting practices align with GAAP
- Identify and recommend internal controls & policies for clients
- Identify and execute solutions to discrepancies in financial records
- Collect and analyze data to understand trends and present findings to senior staff for future client recommendation
- Communicate with clients’ upper management, accounting staff and other various departments in the company to find and clarify recommended solutions to identified issues
- Provide timely replies to clients’ accounting staff inquiries
- Accountable to maintain within budgeted hours, tracking time daily
- Plan and communicate schedule in advance
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities)
- Understanding of Accounting Principles.
- Bachelors and/or master’s in accounting, or finance.
- 5-7 years accounting experience. 3+ years of experience in a similar role.
- Experience working with multiple clients necessary
- Experience as a consultant in a professional services firm, preferred.
- Ability to break down and solve problems through quantitative thinking and analysis.
- Ability to follow processes for maintaining documentation and accounting integrity.
- Ability to switch cross-functional between multiple engagements.
- Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently.
- Proficient in Microsoft Suite. (Teams, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel)
- CPA or CMA preferred.
