Senior Staff Accountant

iGas is a fast‑growing and global leader in the HVAC refrigerant industry. Our well‑established company is seeking a full‑time on‑site Senior Accountant located in Tampa, FL. The role plays a key part in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting our financial operations.

• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including journal entries, reconciliations, and ledgers.
• Prepare accrual entries to comply with US GAAP.
• Maintain schedule for prepaid accounts and process amortization.
• Handle corporate credit card transactions between third‑party software and Quick Books, and monthly credit card reconciliation.
• Conduct pre‑audit tasks across organizations to prepare consolidated financial statements.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial forecasting and budgeting support.
• Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Monitor accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing and payment.
• Manage the company’s general ledger, ensuring compliance with GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies.
• Prepare and assist in the analysis of financial reports, including budget variance analysis.
• Support the preparation of tax returns and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Assist with audits, both internal and external, and provide necessary documentation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement best practices to increase efficiency.
• Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support strategic decision‑making.

• Proficient with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) and accounting software such as Quick Books, MS Dynamics Business Central, or similar platforms.
• Financial statements consolidation experience required.
• 3‑5 years of accounting experience, preferably in manufacturing industry.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
• Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
• CPA, CMA or working towards CPA, CMA certification is a plus but not required.
• International accounting experience preferred.
• Able to lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
