About the Job
Become part of a growing business in the exciting construction industry. Advanced Systems, Inc. of Suncoast is one of Tampa Bay’s premier flooring vendors, having serviced the residential and commercial construction industry with all their flooring needs since 1990. Advanced Systems services the greater Tampa Bay and Sarasota/Bradenton areas. The Bookkeeper will work closely with the executive management team while interacting with team members at all levels.
This position is an office-based position in Tampa, FL.
- Timely and accurately record financial transactions in accounting software.
- Process accounts receivable and payable.
- Prepare checks, payments and bank deposits.
- Assist in monthly analysis, reconciliations and resolution of GL accounts such as accounts receivable, fixed assets and depreciation, accounts payable, other liabilities (credit cards, charge accounts) and related expenses, inter‑company transactions.
- Assist in preparation of budgets and forecasts.
- Submit and track invoices and change‑order requests.
- Payroll entry and processing.
- Perform administrative functions: typing, filing, answering phones, preparing reports, and maintaining records.
- Provide administrative assistance to President and Vice‑President.
- Operate computer as needed for email, general reports and record keeping.
- Perform all other duties as assigned by management.
- 5+ years of relevant work experience.
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Proficiency in Quick Books.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Ability to compose and respond to emails promptly and professionally.
- Ability to multitask and meet deadlines; high level of organization required.
- Produce and maintain paperwork or logs as required.
- Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
- Cooperative attitude.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Professional and supportive interaction with all levels of internal team members and external customers.
- Must pass drug screening and background check and maintain drug‑free status.
- Physical demands: sit, stand, or walk for extended periods; lift and carry up to 25 lbs.
- Construction Accounting Experience.
- Fluent in Spanish.
- Microsoft Access.
- Compensation negotiable based on level of experience.
