Segrera Associates is conducting a search for a private equity backed and fast growing company in Tampa, FL looking to hire a talented Senior Accountant to support current and future acquisitions.

The position is responsible for overseeing accounting operations during business integrations, ensuring alignment with company policies, and supporting accurate financial reporting. This role involves improving processes, analyzing financial data, and collaborating across teams to ensure smooth transitions and compliance with accounting standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Support integration of new business units and align accounting processes with company standards
• Streamline and improve accounting procedures and systems
• Analyze financial statements and report significant findings to management
• Assist with financial system transitions and implementation of new technologies
• Collaborate with internal teams to prepare financial statements and ensure compliance with GAAP
• Develop tools and templates to support accurate revenue recognition and reporting
• Coordinate month-end close processes and handoffs to ongoing accounting teams
• Manage multiple integration projects throughout the year, with some travel as required

Qualifications

• Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or equivalent professional experience
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a multi-entity or multi-site environment
• Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting
• Advanced Excel and general proficiency with accounting or ERP systems
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated, adaptable, and detail-oriented

Preferred

• Experience in mergers and acquisitions or corporate integrations
• Familiarity with ERP or financial software systems (e.g., Net Suite or similar)
