Part‑Time Senior Accountant

Floor Interior Services, a trusted leader in the flooring industry for over 20 years, is seeking a Part‑Time Senior Accountant to join our accounting team. This role is ideal for a highly organized, detail‑driven professional who thrives on accuracy, accountability, and process improvement. You’ll oversee day‑to‑day accounting functions, support multi‑entity financial management, and help strengthen our internal systems – all while enjoying a consistent 30‑hour workweek that offers a work‑life balance.

• Maintain accurate records of financial transactions by establishing and posting accounts in compliance with company policy and legal standards.
• Develop, refine, and oversee accounting systems, charts of accounts, and bookkeeping procedures.
• Verify, allocate, and reconcile subsidiary accounts and ledgers.
• Prepare journal entries, month‑end closings, and financial statements.
• Balance general ledgers, reconcile trial balances, and ensure data accuracy.
• Manage financial document retention and audit readiness.
• Prepare detailed financial reports, including cash flow analysis and profit/loss statements.
• Monitor trends, variances, and cost efficiencies to support leadership decisions.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and strategic financial planning.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local requirements by researching and applying financial regulations.
• Provide insights and recommendations to management for improving financial operations.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (required).
• CPA certification (preferred).
• Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience, including senior‑level or supervisory responsibilities.
• Previous bookkeeping experience preferred.
• Experience managing multiple legal entities under different corporate umbrellas.
• Strong proficiency with Quick Books, Excel, and accounting systems.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
