Client Accounting Advisor

PYA is seeking a Client Accounting Advisor to join its high‑performing and privately‑owned firm with a dynamic culture and a strong national reputation. This individual will be a member of the Client Accounting Advisory Services (CAAS) team, working closely with the PYA Tax Department to serve PYA clients.

• Work with CAAS team members on accounting projects for PYA clients
• Assist with data entry for client financial records, bank and credit card reconciliations, and accounts payable (A / P) and accounts receivable (A / R) functions
• Prepare sales tax returns, year‑end W2s and 1099s, budget and cash flow reports
• Assist with payroll processing and tax deposits
• Utilize financial reporting knowledge to prepare and analyze client balance sheets and income statements and identify / resolve client issues while balancing firm risk and compliance with appropriate professional standards
• Perform month‑end close functions for clients, with an emphasis on journal entries

• Minimum of 4 years of experience in bookkeeping / accounting required; previous public accounting firm experience preferred
• Strong working knowledge of debit and credit accounting
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and basic Microsoft Word / Outlook skills required
• Quick Books experience required
• Excellent problem‑solving skills as well as written and oral communication skills
• Client‑oriented work ethic, delivering high‑quality results
• Exceptional interpersonal skills including the ability to interact effectively and professionally with individuals at all levels, both internal and external to the firm
