Business Solutions Manager | Ledgent Finance & Accounting | Driving Client Success Through Tailored Talent & Finance Solutions About the RoleWe are seeking a detail-driven Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Tampa, FL. This role is responsible for managing billing, collections, and cash application processes while maintaining strong customer relationships. The ideal candidate is analytical, proactive, and skilled at balancing accuracy with efficiency.
Key Responsibilities- Generate and distribute customer invoices in a timely and accurate manner
- Apply customer payments and reconcile AR accounts
- Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue invoices
- Communicate with customers regarding billing inquiries, discrepancies, or disputes
- Maintain detailed and organized AR records
- Prepare AR aging reports and assist with month‑end closing
- Work with internal teams to resolve billing or payment issues
- Recommend improvements to AR processes and controls
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred)
- 2+ years of accounts receivable or general accounting experience
- Experience with accounting or ERP systems
- Strong Excel skills and understanding of AR best practices
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy, and time‑management skills
- Strong communication and customer service abilities
- Experience in high‑volume billing environments
- Knowledge of billing compliance requirements and cash‑application best practices
- Familiarity with Florida sales tax or industry‑specific billing workflows
- Experience with automated AR tools
