Job SummaryThe Staff Accountant must have the ability and knowledge to meet monthly accounting deadlines, complete analysis, research variance discrepancies, and make journal entries for select Balance Sheet and P&L Accounts, in addition to understanding accruals and annual budgeting. Includes other analysis and reports as needed.
Essential Functions- Monthly Branch Operating Statements
- Operating accounts analyzed, and notes prepared monthly
- Actual to Budget Variance Analysis
- Balance Sheet account reconciliations and analysis
- Journal entries to record Company’s activity
- Expense accruals, branch allocations and year‑end adjustments
- Review for Annual Audit
- Bank Reconciliations
- Reports and projects as needed
- Assist branches with questions
Must be a U.S. citizen or be authorized to work in the U.S.
QualificationsWell organized person with strong analytical, administrative, and good interpersonal skills. A person who is very dependable, and who can work independently.
Education & Experience- Degree in accounting
- A minimum of two (2) years General Accounting experience
- Excel experience is extremely helpful
- Knowledge of Eclipse, Bis Track/Great Plains and Agility is helpful
- A high-level of speed and accuracy in preparing and entering financial information
- The ability to work in a fast‑paced environment and to multi‑task
- Able to organize and prioritize workloads
- Able to work in a team environment
