Staff Accountant

Our client, an established organization operating within the commercial automotive space, provides specialized vehicle solutions and support services to a diverse customer base. With a focus on operational excellence, reliability, and long-term relationships, the company supports essential transportation needs while maintaining high standards of service and professionalism. They are currently looking to add a Staff Accountant to their growing team.

Salary/Hourly Rate:

$50k - $65k Depending on experience

Position Overview:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for month-end close tasks, reviewing and posting sales transactions, preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, supporting accounts payable, and preparing audit documentation. This full-time, onsite role requires a self-starter with strong Excel skills and the ability to take initiative.

Responsibilities of the Staff Accountant:

* Perform month-end close tasks, including posting all activity, reviewing GL accounts, and preparing journal entries.

* Review and post sales transactions to ensure accurate cost documentation.

* Conduct account analysis and reconciliation to maintain accurate financial records.

* Assist with financial reporting, including balance sheets, profit and loss statements (P&L), and related analyses.

* Assist with process documentation, including creating and updating team SOPs.

* Crosstrain with the AP function and provide support as needed.

* Prepare documentation and support external auditors during audits.

Required Experience/Skills for the Staff Accountant:

* 1 - 4 years of experience.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

* Self-starter with ambition and initiative.

Preferred Experience /Skills for the Staff Accountant:

* Industry experience, especially with cost and inventory management, is preferred but not required.

* Familiarity with CDK software.

Education Requirements:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
