A well-established construction firm in the Tampa Bay area is seeking a dependable and detail-driven Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist. This role plays a critical part in supporting daily financial operations by ensuring accurate vendor payments, timely payroll processing, and consistent compliance with company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities for the Accounts Payable & Payroll Specialist:Process vendor invoices, verify accuracy, and reconcile against purchase orders and receiving documentation
Manage weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing for hourly and salaried employees
Maintain accurate employee payroll records, deductions, garnishments, and benefits
Prepare and process vendor payments while monitoring cash flow and payment deadlines
Reconcile payroll reports, payroll tax filings, and benefit invoices
Respond to employee and vendor inquiries and resolve discrepancies efficiently
Reconcile corporate credit card statements and ensure proper documentation
Generate regular AP and payroll reports for management review
Ensure compliance with company policies, labor regulations, and accounting standards
Collaborate with HR and management to streamline payroll and payment processes
3+ years of combined Accounts Payable and Payroll experience
Proficiency with accounting and payroll software systems
Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
