Senior Accountant

Location: Tampa, Florida

Salary: $90,000 - $95,000

• Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage grant accounting activities, including restricted funds, revenue recognition, reimbursements, compliance reporting, and account reconciliations.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and cash flow reporting.
• Support annual audit preparation, Form 990 schedules, and year-end financial reporting requirements.
• Prepare and review journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Partner with department leaders to provide financial reporting and analysis that supports operational and strategic initiatives.
• Assist in maintaining strong internal controls and identifying opportunities for process improvements and efficiencies.

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience; nonprofit accounting experience strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of grant accounting, restricted funds, revenue recognition, deferrals, and compliance requirements.
• Experience preparing financial statements, account reconciliations, and supporting audit processes.
• Proficiency with accounting systems and Microsoft Excel;
  Sage Intacct experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
• CPA or CPA-track candidates are highly preferred.
