Interim Controller

Compensation: $50.00–$70.00/hour (depending on experience)
Location: Tampa, FL | Fully Onsite

As an Interim Controller, you'll serve as a strategic partner to executive leadership while overseeing accounting operations, financial reporting, and process improvement efforts. The Interim Controller will play a key role in driving financial accuracy, enhancing internal controls, and supporting long-term business objectives.

• Lead month-end and year-end close processes while ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting as the Interim Controller
• Oversee budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis as the Interim Controller
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and internal control requirements as the Interim Controller
• Manage, mentor, and develop accounting staff while maintaining accountability and operational excellence as the Interim Controller
• Partner with executive leadership to provide financial insights, support strategic initiatives, and drive informed business decisions as the Interim Controller
• Identify opportunities for process improvements, reporting enhancements, and operational efficiencies as the Interim Controller

• Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• 7+ years of progressive accounting and finance leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls
• CPA preferred
• ERP system experience highly desired
• Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex accounting operations
