Location: Tampa, FL
Salary: $80,
Our client is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to support general ledger accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, account reconciliations, and internal controls. This role is ideal for an experienced accountant ready to take on additional responsibility while partnering with leadership on process improvements and special projects.
Responsibilities- Lead month-end close activities, including journal entries and account analysis.
- Perform and review balance sheet reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Maintain general ledger integrity and support financial reporting.
- Assist with SOX compliance, internal controls, and external audit requests.
- Support ERP system upgrades, implementations, and process improvement initiatives.
- Analyze financial data and identify areas for operational efficiencies.
- Mentor junior accounting staff and serve as a key resource for the accounting team.
- Partner with cross-functional departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or equivalent experience.
- 3-7 years of general ledger and month-end close experience.
- Strong experience with balance sheet reconciliations and financial reporting.
- SAP ECC or SAP S/4
HANA experience required. - Intermediate to advanced Excel skills.
- Experience supporting SOX compliance, internal controls, and audits.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to learn quickly, manage priorities, and work independently.
- Exceptional attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Exposure to ERP conversions, implementations, or system upgrades.
- CPA designation or CPA-track is a plus.
