DescriptionThe Travel Ordering Processing Support Specialist manages and processes official MARCENT travel orders to ensure accurate and timely support of personnel requirements. This includes validating travel documentation, administering and monitoring Government Travel Charge Card compliance, and assisting personnel in navigating DoD travel regulations and procedures. The specialist resolves errors, coordinates changes with finance officers, and ensures that all travel actions are properly recorded and compliant with DoD and MARCENT policies.
By combining knowledge of DoD travel systems with administrative experience, the role directly supports MARCENT’s operational readiness and the smooth execution of personnel movements.
THIS EMPLOYMENT IS CONTINGENT UPON CONTRACT AWARD
- Process and validate official travel orders.
- Administer and monitor GTCC compliance.
- Provide assistance to personnel with travel procedures.
- Resolve errors and coordinate changes with finance officers.
- Provide customer service to MARCENT personnel regarding travel regulations and GTCC use.
- Assist in preparing travel-related reports for leadership.
- Support training and familiarization sessions on travel procedures for new personnel.
- Maintain compliance with MARCENT administrative policies and reporting timelines.
- Ensure travel order documentation is properly archived and auditable.

Education/Experience/Qualification- High School Diploma required.
- 3–5 years related administrative experience.
- Secret clearance required.
- Previous experience in processing travel orders for personnel assigned both active and reserve.
- Familiarity with DoD travel regulations.
- Knowledge of GTCC policies and compliance procedures.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills to resolve travel errors.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite for managing travel documentation.
- Effective interpersonal communication skills for assisting MARCENT personnel.
Primary workplace is MARCENT Headquarters, Mac Dill Air Force Base, Tampa, Florida.
Office environment within a joint military/civilian/contractor staff. Position requires close coordination with HR and finance personnel.
Physical DemandsPrimarily sedentary work involving extensive computer use and handling of travel documentation.
Work ScheduleFull-time, 40 hours per week. Monday–Friday, 0800–1600.
License and Other RequirementsValid U.S. Driver’s License. Eligibility for issuance of a Common Access Card.

Security ClearanceSecret clearance required.
TravelMinimal travel may be required to coordinate with finance offices or attend training sessions.
