We are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to join our team in Tampa, Florida. This role is ideal for someone who excels in managing financial records, handling administrative tasks, and ensuring smooth day-to-day operations in a small office environment. If you thrive in a collaborative setting and enjoy working with accounting systems, this position is perfect for you.
Responsibilities:
- Process pay applications and ensure relevant documents are notarized accurately.
- Record accounts payable transactions and generate detailed reports for payment schedules.
- Prepare and issue checks while maintaining precise financial records.
- Collaborate with an external payroll service to input data into Quick Books.
- Perform journal entries and reconcile bank and credit card statements.
- Handle monthly sales tax filings and ensure compliance with regulations.
- Manage administrative paperwork related to contracts with county and city entities.
- Create job cost reports, including payment summaries, overall project costs, and gross profit analysis.
- Oversee accounts receivable tasks such as invoicing, cash applications, and collections when necessary.
- Coordinate customer orders, billing, and freight logistics for smooth operations.

Requirements - Proficiency in Quick Books Desktop, with experience in any version of Quick Books.
- Prior experience in construction-related industries, such as plumbing or roofing, is beneficial but not mandatory.
- Strong customer service skills and a friendly, approachable demeanor.
- Ability to work comfortably in a small office environment.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite for various administrative tasks.
- Willingness to work in an office with pets, as there is a dog onsite.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, including AP, AR, and reconciliations.
