We are looking for a detail-oriented, organized 3PL Claims Specialist who will investigate, evaluate, and resolve freight-related claims and ensure accuracy and timely settlements with carriers. Key duties include managing claim documentation, coordinating with the logistics department, accounting, and carriers, and recovering financial losses.

• Claim Processing
  • Investigate, manage and track freight claims, which can include damages, shortage, temperature issues, loss, etc.
• Claim Management
  • Manage the entire claims process from intake to resolution
  • Gather documents like PODs, BOLs, invoices, and photos to support claims.
• Cross-functional collaboration
  • Communicate with carriers, customers, and internal team to resolve issues
• Financial accuracy
  • Ensure the accuracy of customer data/claim filing and protect the company’s financial interests
• Negotiation
  • Review carrier responses and negotiate settlements with carriers to recover losses or resolve billing discrepancies
• Data and reporting
  • Analyze claims data to identify trends, patterns, or anomalies, and generate reports for management

• Experience in claims management. Logistics, transportation or related role within a 3PL environment is preferred
• Strong attention to detail, problem-solving and communication skills are critical
• Comfortable juggling multiple tasks and deadlines
• Proficiency in logistics software and understanding of supply chain management systems, along with Excel
