The Inventory Control Analyst is responsible for monitoring, analyzing, and optimizing vehicle inventory to support operational efficiency and customer delivery requirements. This role ensures the accuracy of all inventory records, coordinates the movement and allocation of vehicles, and identifies and corrects inventory errors. The Analyst partners closely with operations, logistics, and OEM partners to forecast demand, reconcile variances, and maintain strict adherence to quality, compliance, and inventory management standards.
Responsibilities- Monitor inventory accuracy & reconciliation: oversee inbound and outbound vehicle processing to ensure timely and accurate updates.
- Perform daily, weekly, and monthly physical inventory audits and reconcile discrepancies; investigate and resolve inventory variances by reviewing scanning logs, vehicle movement records, repair orders, and yard activity.
- Process and log storage yard vehicle sorting.
- Generate and analyze inventory reports, including aging, location accuracy, movement patterns, and exception reports.
- Provide detailed analytics and recommendations on inventory trends, risk areas, and improvement opportunities; prepare KPI dashboards on accuracy, flow, dwell time, and processing performance.
- Support internal and external customer reporting requirements; use internal systems (e.g., Veles) to place vehicles on hold or release holds as requested.
- Coordinate with yard operations, quality, and logistics teams to track vehicle status, repair holds, campaign actions, and release priorities.
- Ensure inventory processes align with customer requirements, port protocols, and internal SOPs; assist in optimizing yard layout, vehicle flow, and space utilization.
- Ensure compliance with customer policies, OEM standards, and internal inventory control procedures; identify process gaps and implement corrective actions to improve accuracy and reduce manual interventions.
- Support audits, risk assessments, and inventory‑related compliance initiatives.
- Develop system for logging requests, including purpose, lead, start and end times, and sort team members.
- Capture and report sort times and outcomes via email or spreadsheet.
- Visually monitor yard sort teams and quality of work.
- High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- 1–2 years experience in inventory control, supply chain, and logistics.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Cross‑functional coordination abilities; self‑starter with initiative.
- Proficient PC skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.
- High attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Strong organizational and time‑management skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Analytical thinking with a focus on root‑cause resolution.
