Southern Search is proud to partner with one of Tampa Bay’s most respected commercial builders to identify an experienced Quality Control Manager to oversee QA/QC operations across complex commercial projects. This key leadership role is responsible for ensuring construction excellence, maintaining strict compliance with project specifications, and supporting the commitment to delivering high‑quality, safe, and enduring facilities.
About the RoleThe Quality Control Manager will lead the on‑site quality control program—managing inspections, documentation, subcontractor coordination, and compliance across all phases of construction. This individual will work closely with superintendents, project managers, and trade partners to ensure every component meets the highest standards of workmanship and performance. You will support multiple commercial projects across the region.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and manage the Quality Control Program from start to finish.
- Review, track, and certify submittals, product data, and shop drawings
. - Maintain a full‑time on‑site presence to monitor work in progress and ensure conformance to plans and specifications.
- Conduct and manage schedules, deficiency tracking, and corrective actions.
- Provide detailed daily reports
, photo documentation, and QC records. - Collaborate with superintendents and subcontractors to proactively identify and resolve issues.
- Support commissioning, testing, and turnover activities as required.
- 10+ years of construction supervision or QC management experience within commercial, industrial, or corporate projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture
, or related field preferred. - Strong knowledge of contract documents, CSI divisions, and construction means and methods
. - Proficiency in Procore or similar platforms is a plus.
- Highly organized with strong communication and problem‑solving abilities.
- Ability to enforce QC standards with professionalism, fairness, and consistency.
